| Just doesn't hold |
Unfortunately, I purchased this additional mount for the Tom Tom XL, as part of an Amazon promotion, so that we could use the new GPS in both of our cars. Well, they don't hold! (Neither the one supplied with the Tom Tom, or the additional mount.) No matter where we tried to mount them (windshield, dash, etc.) the suction cup popped up within less than 30 seconds. The Tom Tom XL is just too heavy for this suction-style holder--plus, the box with the additional charger and mount came without an adhesive disc. (Although, that really made no difference either; we tried the adhesive disc, and the suction cup still fell right off.)
If you want an extra charger, purchase that on its own. Don't waste your money for a mount that is useless. We will now have to find two mounts that do work. In the meantime, we're using the mount in the cup holder!
