  Very good picture quaity/DVD player sucks

| The projector has very good picture quality. It doesn't seam to have digital video input but I have used it both through the analog VGA and the DVD and the picture quality is very good.
The DVD player seams to be deprived from some functionality (i.e. cannot fast forward or rewind, it only jumps between chapters) but of course this could be me not being able to figure out the buttons :)

| Not recommended. The sound quality of this unit is poor, mostly because the bass response is so poor. I'm sticking with my 330 watt JVC mini system, which sounds infinitely better, for a hundred dollars less.

| I have had this unit installed on a yacht for 3 years and it works great. Sound is excellent, the sub is small enough to stash away in a cabinet, the DVD has worked fine. The one glitch is that the treble control has a bug where you have to press the "select" button and "up" arrow on the treble to get a boosted treble to kick in. I tolk Sherwood about this, they may have fixed this in later units...>>> |

| I've read many of the reviews here and only have to add the following:
1. My wife and I are retards as it took us over 3 hours to build this thing out!!! Sony could have designed the construction intelligently but chose to use sub-standard scews which, well, basically screw you over. Very easy to de-thread the screws and we almost ruined one of the stands as they didn't screw in or out easily....>>> |

| You get what they tell you it is, a system that is capable of HD quality sound. What more could you ask for at this price. The speakers it comes with do well enough for a small to mid size room any bigger and you may need to upgrade several of the speakers to achieve quality sound. Other than that, its a good buy.

| I just picked up this system and it sounds AMAZING. I have it hooked up to my 42" HD LCD Vizio Gallevia, which is also hooked up to a computer and an Oppo Up-Converting DVD, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.

| this system has power and great sound. more bang for the buck especially in a small to mid-sized appartment or great for a bedroom because speakers are compact, dynamite sub. yamaha did a nice job with the featues on the receiver. for the money you won't go wrong.
