ok but...
it fits, but is far too snug. top flap pulls over but barely fits. Tried to pull it a little farther and the seam began to tear.

Okay case
First off, this case should be included in the cost of the eTrex ... having to pay extra strikes me as wrong!

That said, this case is okay. I took it hiking with me, and while it protected my eTrex, I don't trust the case to hold the unit safely. The velcro connects the top flap behind the eTrex. The eTrex fits in fairly snugly ... almost too much so. I could see the eTrex sliding out of the case on the trail, and me hiking off leaving my costly unit behind.

Would I buy it again? Yes, if only to avoid the hassle of searching for a better case.

I'll use the case, but always carry it in my pocket ... just to be safe.

good choice
I'm glad I choose to get a case like this. Extra protection and convenience. This case does what it is supposed to and I think the design is well done.

Sturdy case to protect your investment
The case is well made and fits my eTrex Venture HC like a glove. The belt clip is snug so I don't worry about it falling off. One of the reasons I bought this is because I had read the eTrex's screen was prone to scratching easily. The heavy gage plastic over the screen seems to eliminate that potential problem.

Not too useful as it comes
This case isn't too useful as it comes out of the box because the little plastic window is made of ultra-soft plastic that will scratch immediately through normal use, and then you'll need to remove the GPS from the case to actually read its screen, defeating much of the purpose. The Garmin screen itself is made of soft plastic that scratches immediately, and you must protect it with a self-adhesive screen protector. You must do the same to this carrying case. That said, the case fits the GPS snugly and the clip stays on a belt or pack, so other than the soft screen it works as advertised. But why do manufacturers build and sell products with built-in self-destruct features?
