  After 4 months of use the picture quality went South

| Our player was working fine for the first three months of use and then the colors began to distort and finally the picture disappeared all together. I have not contacted JVC yet but will be interested in what they will do for us. Like so many big companies it's so easy to just send people and product out the door and forget about them.

| I was going back and forth between the XA2 and the A35 after doing some review searching i went for the A35 worth the money think it upconverts just as well as the XA2 and saved some money doing so load times are pretty quick compared to Toshiba`s older HD players picture is crystal clear. | Plays both HD DVDs and Standard DVDs

I really like this player. I've read about first generation HD DVD players having long load times but this one loads the DVDs at about the same speed as a standard player.
I connected the HDMI cable to my 42" plasma through my receiver and connected the power cord and it was ready to use. I use the HDMI for both video and sound, but tested the optical cable and it worked well too.

| It's a great product of the Toshiba. I can play both DVD and HD DVD by using the same player with the outstanding quality. Did anyone hear about Blue Ray success? I didn't as well.

| Dear Fellow Amazonians -
So I just received my brand new Panasonic DMP-BD30 and was excited to try it out on my brand new Samsung LCD. I put in the brand new Transformers Blu-ray and what happened -- NOTHING. It started to load and then stopped abruptly. I tried some other Blu-rays which played fne.

| This DVD player died after two hours (one movie). It has an awful spin sound when it does work. After a short use, the screen freezes and getting your CD out of the machine after it dies it no picnic. Beware of this cheaply made, useless product.

| ...that's what your gonna say the first time you fire up this baby with your favorite standard-def DVD. This is not your average Big Box Mart or Big Buy DVD player. I did a fair amount of online research for upconverting DVD players and the OPPO DV-980H quickly rose to the top of the heap ...and I had never heard of this company 'til now. | First of all, I love the slim line look and light weight feel to this DVD player. I haven't had the chance yet, to play any DVD's other than NSTC, so I haven't tested it for PAL DVD's which is the reason I purchased this player. Reading the helpful hints and coding to use to enable this player to play all regions will help a great deal when my PAL DVD's arrive from England.

| I recently purchased this Sony BDP S350 and connected it to a 42 in Toshiba LCD 1080p hi-def television,with an HDMI cable, with fabulous results. Blu-ray discs are nothing short of amazing, with clear, crisp, images, allowing you to feast your eyes on anything you watch.
