JVC has made a very bad choice for everio GZ-HD7 regarding the software bundle that you get with the Camera.
No native Windows Vista support so you will not be sure if this camera is a good investment for the future. Even on a quad processor PC with 2 GB RAM, the software does not work great. And will result in difficult steps to convert the non-standard TOD format to more common formats...>>> |

| Thus product was clearly rushed to market for the 2007 holiday x-mas season. It is riddled with software defect. It didn't save videos to computer, eventually didn't turn on , froze my Mac. I could go on. Don't bother with this dud in pretty packaging.

We were looking for a basic camcorder for home videos, and this matched what we're looking for. One of our main criteria was to buy a HHD camcorder, and at the time Sony and JVC were the only other brands offering HHD camcorders, though both generally had good reviews, it was Panasonics Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) that won us over, BIG difference in video quality when compared.

| I've just got mine sony cam. This thing is awesome. The video and sound quality are great. No need any conversions anymore, you record straight to mini-DVD and then can use any PC or DVD player to watch your video and can easily share with friends. I can't wait for the summer vacation to record my trip to Europe.

| What a great gadget! This product is everything it is claimed to be. Can be used right out of the box. E-mailing videos? No problem! Posting to YouTube? No problem! Marvelous natural light videos. | If you have an HD-TV this camera is the way to go. it is much cheaper than the newer models and the picture quality is great! I am not a technically savvy person and found this camera very easy to use. Save money! Buy this one over the newer models.

| The video camera is so easy to use and down loads quickly into your PC or laptop and the picture quality is great - however I would recomend Lithium® batteries - they will last way longer - a very good product !!!
