I'm not a technophile so I won't be going into the numbers or technology involved here, so this is for the everyday regular people who just are looking for a great tv; YOU'VE FOUND IT, FOLKS! <br /><br />This TV is quite honestly the most amazing piece of technology I could ever ask for; the picture is crisp, dynamic, and vibrant, the design is outstanding and practical, and the quality is beyond words. I also bought in addition to the TV, a blue ray player and the "Planet Earth" blue ray disc set; best decision I've made in years! You want to feel like your in the Serengeti with none of the bad smells, fear of death, and food-poisoning? Seriously, this is the single-most amazing viewing experience I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of. <br /><br />Well, I think most everything else has been said by other reviewers so I'll leave you with one thought; buy this tv and you'll never want to view anything that isn't on it again ;). Wow amazing this is the best HDTV out there you get 3 extra months warranty just for registering your HDTV. When you watch standard TV it still looks great. I am amazed at the picture quality. I went to sears and looked at dozens of LCD's nothing came close. Ordered through amazon and couldn't believe how fast I received it. Great service they even asked if I wanted it set up. I said no because opening is the best part about getting something new. <br /><br />When you watch movies OMG looks like your looking out of the window or watching live footage its so damn clear i stare at it with my mouth open. The TV was $600 less than I could purchase it at any local retailer; and it was well worth the five-day wait to get it at home.<br /><br />SHIPPING: I placed my order on a Thursday, and had my new TV the following Tuesday. I will say that it only had to ship from PA to NH; thus it wasn't too far away. I checked the status of the shipment daily, and when I saw it arrived at the local hub, I called the shipping company myself to set up the delivery. The delivery arrived within the scheduled time block, and the gentlemen who brought the TV into my house, did it with "white gloves." <br /><br />PRODUCT: I am thrilled with the new TV; it's everything the reviews said it was, and set-up was a snap. However for this TV, I have to rate it 3 stars.<br />I read lot of people's reviews this item and thought it's good TV until I bought it. I completely disappointed with the color setting of this LCD. The color looked too yellow and red. I could not make it any better. Compared it to my 720P Panasonic Plasma, the plasma color is beautiful out of the box. The sound is another terrible thing on this TV, with surround sound on, I cannot understand clearly because it sounded like you bring the sound recorder to theater and recorded. Overall, it looks good with PC input. However, with others, DVD and TV inputs, the color on this TV is not good. One other thing is missing is the caption will not work if you're using component video cable as the catalog stated. If you don't believe me. The colors were very sharp, there was hardly a glare, the TOC was unique and the price was fantastic. I've had this unit for close to a month now and switched from Comcast to Direct TV HD. The picture and sound are just beyond my expectations. I've hooked up my xbox360, ps2 and wii quickly. This TV has also improved xbox360 gameplay images and sounds. The images from the xbox360 dvd player are very, very sharp. I watch a lot of tennis and other sports in HD and the quality is lifelike. Also, I actually like the remote but use Direct TV's remote already. I have no firmware issues. I ordered this unit on a Monday afternoon and got delivery by Thursday noon.
